The National Union of Self-Regulatory Lift Organizations is going to join the European Lift Association

The National Union of Self-Regulatory Lift Organizations intends to join the European Lift Association as the Observer. Negotiation between heads of NSL SRO and the European Lift Association (ELA), Secretary General Luc Rivet hold on January 19th, 2012 in Moscow. The president of NSL SRО Victor Tishin, the president of SRO NP "RLО" Maks Vaksman, the vice-president of NSL SRО Yury Radin and others took part in the meeting.

During the meeting the President of NSL SRО Victor Tishin has reminded that market economy laws function in Russia about 20 years. «Now the country goes by integration way with world community: the Customs union EurAsES was created, Russia was accepted in WTO in December, 2011. So we are interested in taking part in creation of regulatory base which regulates activity of lift organizations in Europe», - Victor Tishin said.

By his words, the Russian legislation unideal and constantly changes in lift sector and it doesn’t give any impulse to develop mechanisms of market protection from bad-quality and unsafe lift equipment. Cooperation with ELA and studying European experience will allow us to prepare documents and to put reliable barriers on the way of doubtful import production, Victor Tishin said.

ELA Secretary General, Luc Rivet supported the intention of the Russian colleagues. As he said, any new organization has two ways: to enter in European Lift Association as a constant member or the observer.

As a result, the Parties signed the protocol of intentions where NSL SRО expressed readiness to join ELA as the observer. The National Union of Self-Regulatory Lift Organizations is going to send necessary document to ELA till March. This document is planned to discuss at the Association board on March 25th, 2012.
