The Russian National Union of Lift Self-Regulatory Organizations closer to Europe

Brussels, 31 January 2012. The Russian National Union for the Lift Industry has joined the European Lift Components Association as Associated Member.



“In Europe, lift components manufacturers has seen a changing trend towards the internationalization of standards and ELCA has moved its technical priorities along this trend” said the ELCA President, Mr. Matteo Volpe “I am confident that the Russian National Union will bring added value to ELCA and we will strengthen our common goal to represent, develop and protect the interest of lifts components manufacturers within and beyond the European borders”, added the President.

The ELCA Board welcomed the Russian National Union of Self-Regulatory lift organizations and look forward for its President, Mr. Victor Tishin, to join the 2012 ELCA General Assembly in Europe to establish a cooperation channel and exchange of political and technical priorities in the industry sector for the benefit of the Members.

The Russian National Union of Lift Self-Regulatory Organizations is a non-commercial body voluntarily uniting self-regulatory organizations that involve lift industry businesses and was created to represent and to protect the interests of such self-regulatory organizations. The Union was registered by the Russian Ministry of Justice on 16 April 2010.

ELCA, the European Lift Component Association is a European Economic Interest Group established in 1988 under the Belgium Law to safeguard the interest of lifts components manufacturers and specifically small and medium sized companies in Europe. While ELCA members are based in Europe, other companies or Associations from non European countries may also apply for membership as Associated Member and can participate to the General Assembly of the Association.
